Breakfast With Champions

Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary is working with Rotarians throughout the Country to Combat Hunger

Currently one in four families in the United States struggles to put food on the table as a result of the ongoing COVID pandemic. This September, during International Hunger Awareness Month, Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary Club will be participating in a multi-state food collection drive entitled Breakfast with Champions. The event is being jointly run by Rotary District 7490 and members of the White House Champions of Change Alumni Association.

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, between the hours of 9:30 am and 11:30 am, Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotarians will be collecting non-perishable food supplies, grooming items and food store gift cards at the Fair Lawn Municipal Building, 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue.  Donors can drive up to the collection tables located near the building’s side entrance on Parmelee Avenue and drop off their items without leaving their cars.

Additionally, residents attending the fireworks at Memorial Park on Sunday, September 5th can bring a donated food item to the ticket gate on Berdan Avenue, which will be staffed by members of Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary.  All donations will benefit the Fair Lawn Food Pantry and local area food banks. Donors are asked to make sure food items have not surpassed their expiration date.
